During the mid 60's Liverpool Corporation introduced a scheme to get old cars off the road.. some of which in working condition hence the artwork is allegorical. These were scrapped at a dump at the end of Jericho Lane next to the city tip to be used as part infill for the Otterspool Promenade extension from Jericho Lane to Dingle Jetty..
